Essential Oils for Emotional Well-Being

A study in the UK indicated that certain oils, when diffused in dental waiting rooms, significantly reduced the measured levels of anxiety and stress of patients waiting for treatment. Another study in a New Jersey nursing home showed that when a specific blend of essential oils was diffused in the facility's activity room over 3 months' time, the use of psychotropic drugs was significantly reduced for many residents in the study.

Essential oils are uniquely suited to supporting the emotions. In this 2-hour class, LMT and Clinical Aromatherapist Darby Mackenzie Line will show you why! You'll learn about olfaction and its effects on the emotional centers of the brain. You'll learn about how essential oils affect the body's energy centers (chakras) to bring about balance on the spiritual and energetic levels. Throughout the class you will be able to experience several essential oils that have been used for centuries to positively affect balance to the physical, emotional and energetic systems of the body. And you will also be invited to experience a gentle, balancing guided meditation using essential oils.

With the knowledge gained from this class, massage and other health professionals can learn to use essential oils to enhance and enrich their work with clients and patients.
